Inkijk

"Kick him, kick him!" I heard voices scream. "Kick him!" Then another voice screamed, "Leave him alone!" I didn't recognize the voice, but eventually, the kicking stopped. Thank God the bullies have gone, I thought.
Standing above me was a boy. The boy had saved my life. I didn't know him, and he didn't know me.
"Are you okay?" he asked me.
I couldn't say anything; I just stared at him.
"My name is Kian, who are you?"
"I'm Max," I murmured.
Kian replied, "They got you good, didn't they?"
I replied, "Yeah, It's basic routine these days." Kian exclaimed,
"That’s horrible! Why don't you come over to my house for a drink?"
It sounded like a great plan. "I don't see why not. You're the first person to be nice to me, you know?" Kian looked shocked. He replied, "Why? You're a nice person." I blushed slightly.
We walked to Kian's house.
His mother was in the kitchen.
"Mom," Kian asked, "Is it okay if I offer Max a drink?"
"Sure hun." Kian’s mother answered. "Why don't you and your friend watch a movie upstairs? I'll bring some tea and biscuits up in a minute."
We went upstairs. And that's where this story begins…
