From the book
Back into the darkness I travel. How familiar this absence of light feels now that I’ve grown a part of it. For every sense of atonement I’ve had in wandering these woods, there has been equal feeling of not being alone. You have been with me this whole time haven’t you? Making me realise the things I’ve longed to forget for all my life. Some days, the feeling I long for, a warm blanket of love covering my heavy shoulders. Some days, a harsh reality for me to face, that I am more alone with you than on my own. My two-faced demon, my love, my hate. My euphoria, my downfall.
