Samenvatting

Sandra is a writer in need of a story. One night she goes out and meets an intriguing woman who makes her an offer; to get an idea for her book and become a vampire or to stay here empty handed. Sandra chooses to be one of them and hears the stories of Akasha, Siobhan and Kieran, and Daniel, who she falls in love with. All goes well until she suspects a hidden agenda. She doesn’t know why she was chosen, but she knows her making served a greater purpose or greater evil. She is determined to find out.

Over de auteur

"I write for as long as I can remember. Short stories, diaries, lyrics and poems. When I discovered theatre my characters came to life through my words. They became persons and some of them are in this book. I moved to Ireland and continued writing in English to improve my language skills. I currently live in Holland. When I’m not writing I am an English teacher, anglophile and a mother."

Inkijk

Suddenly a thought entered my mind. The note. The note that the mysterious Akasha left at the table yesterday. Maybe I should go. What harm would it do me. She was willing to provide me with an idea, and that was what I needed right now. That was more than I had already. She could save my career and help me one step closer to fame. What time is it? It is dark outside already. Shall I take my chances, and go see her, or will I stay up all night waiting for a brilliant idea to come to me. I think I should go. I have nothing to lose. Yes, I’m going to see that mysterious woman again and see what happens.
I packed my bag; my notebook, my Dictaphone just in case. I cuddled Caesar and grabbed my coat almost knocking over Caesar in the process. Grabbed my keys and off I went to the Hotel.
It was raining again outside. My hair was still wet from the shower and wouldn’t dry any time soon. I didn’t feel the need anyways to make myself pretty for her. I could never compete against her beauty. Would I be beautiful too if she made me into a vampire? I wonder what it is like to be a vampire. It must be incredible to have powers like hers. But it must be lonely only living at night. Never to see a sunset again or feel the first rays of the sun waking you up in the morning.
Just one more block before I reached the hotel.
