Samenvatting

Zero Gravity - a broken heart beats again is an intense collection about heartbreak, where you follow the narrator as she loses herself to betrayal. Throughout the story, the reader watches her build herself back up to someone that can give and receive love again. It’s the therapy any broken heart needs. A heartbroken by losing a loved one, losing friendships, breakups, and other sides of betrayal. This poetry collection tells a story every soul will be able to relate to. Perfect for a good cry and a smile.

Over de auteur

Mari Antoinette was born in 1995 and lives in Hoevelaken, the Netherlands. Since she was little, she had a huge love for the English language and fell in love with writing at the young age of fifteen. While she has been writing for eleven years, she started in songwriting and is unable to write in her own language. Zero Gravity has been her brainchild for the past three years, but it was thanks to her loving partner that she was inspired to finish it. You will never find her without a notebook nearby and shouldn’t be surprised if she gets ideas for poems from music or sentences that she hears in her everyday life. Mari mostly writes love poetry, but balances it with mental health poetry.

Inkijk

White funeral roses
Layered on her coffin
White funeral roses
Layered on her body
Hidden so tearful eyes wouldn’t be able to see
The rose petals touching her frozen skin
Loved ones gathered around her coffin
A farewell I never thought I would say
Never did it cross my mind that the day
Would come for me to say goodbye
To you but more to myself and I
Cause it is when I looked down that I realized
The girl that used to love you, the one that died
Was wearing my face
And carrying my heart
